No, not the TV program with Bill Maynard. Just reading some of thisis comments section (I know ) and it strikes me how much crap our managers have got from 'fans' over the years, even if we won every match we played there would be someone complaining that we should have won by more, or the manager/players didn't wave to the crowd . I, for one, think that tactics/tempo could do with being changed at times but don't people think that a manager who works with his players, knows his players and understands them, is in a better position than most to make the best of things?

Yes, but if you pay £25 you automatically know better!
We are in one those periods when expectations are low and you just have to get on with it

If expectations were low we would not be grumbling about being 8th in the fucking league. We flirted with the playoffs and our fanbase got used to the idea, so now that we're only 2 places lower, the toys are being thrown out of the pram.

1 win in 10 is not good form, people will start to get restless, if we could only get back to the style of play from the start of the season fans might just accept things a bit better. To me to finish halfway would represent a good season in these transitional times, but the style of play just recently has not been good entertainment value - and that seems to be the biggest moan of all.

But where does voicing your opinion stop ? Booing a young keeper who has obviously been told to play it short at every opportunity ? Booing at half time on Tuesday when we hadn't exactly played badly with lots of "usual" players missing ? Everyone is entitled to have a little moan on occasions - but I think a lot of the mongs watching us are plain fucking stupid !

It's likely the people moaning that we're not in the playoffs now are the ones who 'predicted' at the start of the season we'd finish bottom, or at least be in for a relegation battle. In the Legends before the match you overhear some utter morons sometimes.
Our period of 'low entertainment football' as people want to describe it has, perhaps without co-incidence, co-incided with this period of bad weather. I can see where Cooper's coming from if that's the reason, but now the weather is starting to improve he does need to switch it up a bit. At the moment every team we come up against closes us down, makes us panic, and that ruins our passing and forces us into boo-igniting side or back passes. Part of the problem is a lot of the time our midfield and defence lack any kind of mutual support- there are no real triangular partnerships forming in the team that I can see, something that is necessary to play the posession game. This is a young team who've only been together since the start of the season (if that), and I don't think those triangles are going to form straight away- the revered Caddis/Ritchie/Ferry one from the Paolo years was something three or four years in the making, possibly more, as Caddis and Ferry were up at Celtic together for a long time before that.

I agree with what you say, but
We are never going to get players at this level who are so confident on the ball they can accept the close attention of opposing players and TBH the weather is always going to be shite for months during the season.
People can see and understand this. What perplexes them is how Cooper appears to ignore this and ploughs on regardless of results.
Maybe they could issue STs from August to December only!

For abuse of the manager kingy takes some beating. Generally disliked by many who drowned out the "Andy kings barmy army" chant with boos regularly. The most distinct memory for me was mansfield at home when the "Andy King wank wank wank" "we all agree Andy King is a wanker "chants were made. This was the game when our fans also chanted "off off off" at Alan Reeves when he got booked for a foul

Cheltenham was even worse with Gerry Cottles Red & White army rining out to be replaced by Lou Macaris Red & White Army. Hated King the egotisitical tool.

He was a dick but we played some bloody good football in 03/04 and the sight of him strolling around in flip-flops and shorts with a big fat cigar in his mouth was always classy.

I like to think that the people that comment on the adver stories are the retards that got banned from here. It makes understanding their logic a lot easier.
