the thing thats really pissed her off is her bosses are making her co-workers delete her as she's technically a parent. She's been working there for over 10 years, 7 of them before our eldest arrived!

As someone has already said, its unlikely that anyone would deliberately post something that will cause offence, but it only takes a teacher/carer/team coach/TA/whatever to post "What a shit day" at the end of a bad day at work, and one parent will take that, rightly or wrongly as a direct slur against their own child and take offence.
Thats the reason people in those positions are advised not to have that direct contact with parents, it just takes away the risk of conflict, and protects the people with those responsibilities

I understand it to some degree, it's all about protecting reputations really. For his sake, I hope tans' employer doesn't monitor social media...
