“At the moment it’s looking really good. You don’t need to spend a massive amount of money on wages to get good quality.

“As you’ve seen, teams like Yeovil have gone up with a budget of £1million or less.

“It can be done with the right blend of quality and experience and hopefully we’ll get that right this season.”

Bloody happy clapper, does he not know that to even survive in this division we need a wage budget of £3m+.  Girl Giggle

If you want to play the tedious quote game:

Quote
If the opportunity comes to play higher up the leagues players have to think about it as anyone else would

But hopefully I can get into the Championship with Swindon, if not then we’ll look beyond that but we’re not there at the moment so I’m concentrating on what we’re doing at the moment

Bloody doom monger, not confident we can get out the league despite having a competitive budget 2.5 x Yeovil's last year.

The only way is up..Grin

I mainly meant the quote was tedious not you. As you highlighted in your last post, what is he going to say.

Though continually pointing at things to highlight how the naysayers will be wrong is as tiring as continually reading negative comments!

We won't know whether the team are good, bad or indifferent until October..

You're only saying that because you're a doom-monger though, aren't you Batch?

October's a bit soon...the last time we experimented in Div 3 with a team of kids +a couple of old heads, under John Trollope in 81/82 we were top in October....still got relegated mind. It was the old cliche...terrible run when the weather turned through November, Dec, Jan that did for us.

Perhaps we should release a 'onesy' kit to make sure they don't feel the cold this time...
