  TRUST STFC chairman John Ward has applauded the Football League for their diligence in assessing the sale of Swindon Town to new owners, despite the immense frustration it has caused fans of the Robins.

Just because the FL is taking ages over it is not evidence of diligence, or it is circumstantial evidence at best.

I find the fit and proper person test a waste of time. With fuck all in the way of financial controls, as soon as someone is in charge of a club they have free reign to go on a spending spree, rack up massive debts and then let it all turn to shit.

What's the point of taking a month checking out new owners, when they allow things like the Portsmouth fiasco to pass without even a comment. How about a fit and proper test of administrators and banning them from being involved in football clubs when they fuck up?

I'm a bit surprised that nobody seems to have picked up on todays article in the Telegraph,which concerned some
of the past dealings and goings on at Luton with former directors.One of them passed the Fit and Proper Person Test,
even though he has a criminal conviction!

Perhaps because of the new consortiums links to Luton in the past,however tenuous,has brought about extra scrutiny
from the FL before they have been willing to sign off the deal at Football League HQ?
