Remember back in the day in the CGH when it was still a bar and separate lounge.

Almost certain it was Burnley fans in the lounge just getting the wrong side of boisterous when landlord Ricky Porter appeared wielding a baseball bat and scattered them all over the place.

Fucking hilarious - and it did quieten them down a bit as well.

He was a boxer alright = should have doubled up with Pete Neale, no problems at closing time there!

Ricky still lives in County Road, runs a b&b, I think.  Although I did hear he had a serious health scare last year, hope he's ok!

He does still run n a b&b - I know very little about the health scare but it did happen.

He's fighting fit and always in the gym now-a-days. I dont really know him, but when he's about you can always hear him!!!

One of the funiest quotes in the adver years back when reporting on the trial of a man who had tried to burgle Ricky Porters house and i quote..

The police arrived to find the defendant in a distressed state and two of his teeth embedded in the landing carpet

Think Ricky was at home when the thieves paid a visit.
