Right, here is the scenario: I moved to Germany a year & half ago, left a good job in England for an even better one here. Then after 7 months or so they sold the company & I had the choice to move elsewhere in Germany (a place I did not want to live) So I got another job here, which is not so well paid & has now become crap so when my contract is up in October I will leave.

I have applied for many news jobs here, but also in other areas of Germany. I have good friends here but often feel alone still.

Obviously Plan A is get a job here (as I've already found a potential new flat from Sep)

But what say you over other plans (other than stop complaining on TEF Cheesy)

I though go to Bavaria (job permitting) to be closer to family
or try another big city like Berlin (again job permitting)
or the last..return to the UK, where I could now possibily get a very, very well paid job, do further German lessons, then come back in a year or so (now I know how systems etc work here)

Opinions, other ideas, abuse all gratefully received.

thanks,
your stupid German TEF member

Sounds like getting a job closer to the family even if it means a pay cut is what you are wanting.

There is nothing worse than feeling lonely...no matter how much cash you have in your pocket.

Maybe a new country with warmer weather if you have job skills may give you a fresh imputus.

Hope it works out whatever.

Maybe get a well paid job and do your german lessons in a proper country like England :-) and you can afford some regular £80ish return flights to Munich/Bavaria to visit family.

Good luck with it.

Stay in the fatherland, if you come back here you could quite easily get distracted and end up not going back.  So stay in Germany la'. Sounds like it's where you want to be.
