Not as good as this morning's effort, which suggested he scored 14 goals in 10 minutes in training today, before urinating on a picture of Joseph Beauchamp!

Fair play whoever that was.

Ha ha, I noticed he had number 99 on his back for one of the goals. Perhaps thats why PDC has left open the number 9 slot, to save him choosing such a ridiculous number as a replacement!

I see thisis is on meltdown due to PDC bringing this freebie player here for a trial. How dare he!

Apparently we should 'splash the cash' on a proven goalscorer instead (what cash is that exactly?)

I can't see how wanting someone proven at league 2 level is a mong-fest, not read the comments yet though.

Unfortunately proven strikers who want to stay at this level don't grow on trees.

it's not the 'what cash exactly' that's the problem i don't think, more of availability of the right proven goalscorer.

if you can't identify a proven goalscorer that is available to you then you look elsewhere, exactly what we are doing here.

thisis will always be the way it is, fuck the lot of them

Watching that YouTube montage I can't decide whether he's a beast of a footballer or a bit of a lummox.

It is hugely disappointing that we didn't get a big man from our preferred big man list. Last season we struggled to sign a striker and ended up with a last gasp trialist, didn't want that this year as well. You can't make them come I suppose (have we even tried leaving a horses head yet?)

At least we got Connell, Di Vito and Kurushe - all of whom were presumably on the radar for a while.

Yeah you're right in principle, Its just the relentless, metronomic, repetative, same old bollocks all the blimin' time which winds me up.... we need a proven goal scorer etc etc etc etc

So which proven goal scorer should we buy? where is he? Lets throw a few of the massive sacks of cash (that we apparently have lying around the place) around and one is bound to turn up just itching to drop into Div 4.

PDC gets a striker in (on trial ffs) that no-one has heard of, a striker that no-one, I repeat no-one could possibly have an opinion on (whether he's good or not) and the mongs throw a hissy fit and start endlessly repeating the proven striker mantra.

I think we've ticked the box with Connell, I know this is not a popular theory, but using the guys own words - the first full season that he's actually played as an out and out striker he bagged 29 goals.

I'm encouraged by this..
