Coxy's goal that was nominated for goal of the season on Match of the Day,now i know we have had a few ex players nominated for goal of the month and indeed a few of our own players.
Probably a blatantly obvious one(Stroud was ITV),just wondered.

Is this the first goal by an ex Town player to be nominated for goal of the season on Match of The Day?

Ernie Hunt in 1970 for Coventry won goal of the season.
