Anyone know the exact details of how the wage cap in League Two works? Tried Googling it and found nothing, same for the regulations on the Football League website - must be some firm facts somewhere?

Is there any allowances for teams relegated from League One?
What is the penalty for going over?
Is there a fixed date the rule kicks in when they check the wage bill?
Based on forecasted income? Or something else?

All I know is that there's a mandatory wage cap in this division that limits spending on players' wages to 60% of club turnover.

By inflating the club's income with spurious "sponsorship" deals. MacAnthony did the same thing at Peterborough.

I think its work aroundable if your board acts without any transparancy, like our previous board did.

Crawley will fiddle things to make it work somehow.

If I remember correctly it's 60% of turnover for playing staff and 75% overall (playing and non-playing staff). Last season we had 80% of turnover as our total wage costs.
