Psychologist assesses Town's struggles

AFTER four losses in a row, and eight in 11 League One games, Swindon Town’s players need inspiration from their manager more than ever.

A lot of it is down to communication on the part of the manager.”

Hate to say it, but what does this say for DW?

He just basically said that we need a new manager. That's what I took from it anyway.

Good article and agree Victor Thompson is very subtly saying that the players need a manager for new direction on the field

Exactly. It's all going wrong so something needs to change and the players need some belief. I would hardly call that deep insight.

The story's not really what he's saying though, it's who's saying it. What he's saying is pretty much stating the obvious, but presumably they hope to give it an air of credence by having a bloke with letters after his name say it ("It's science, innit?"). And maybe have a bit of a dig at the club's using sports psychologists/motivational people as part of the "no turn unstoned" stuff at the same time.

I could have told the club/adver that for half the fee they paid this doctor.

But you haven't got letters after your name so that wouldn't count

I usually have letters after my name.

W, A and 2 Ts - usually in a different order though.
