Carlisle

Carlisle bother me. Not only did they stitch us up with Perricard, shit midweek fixtures and nick JPM, they still owe us for lending them Jimmy Glass just so he could bail them out with that goal.

Boo hiss Carlisle.

Not saying creepy Crawley are a weak side but can't see them maintaining a high enough level week in week out against plenty of teams with much more experience than them. Think a lot of people are going by the last couple of seasons success for them.I know it's league two but it's still a step up from what they have been used to playing. We have been written off for not having the players with div two experience but they are favourites ? !

There is something not right at Crawley. When Wes Thomas signed for them from Cheltenham the Cheltenham chairman was quoted as saying Crawley offered Thomas wages that even top league 1 clubs wouldn't have been able to match.

There is no way in hell their wage bill is 55% of their turnover, without massive amounts of money being poured into them. I also seem to remember reading that last summer Crawley spent more money on transfers than the whole of league 2 combined.

After watching Crawley and Evans at the CG last year they are a bunch of cheats on and off the pitch in my opinion, They won't be an easy team to beat next season.

With players like Tubbs, Akinde, Torres, Thomas etc they certainly don't have a weak or or inexperienced team.

I've always been bothered by the fact that Carlisle was known as Luguvallium in Roman times....struck me as being an amalgam of lugubrious meaning mournful or sad and vallium, which I'm sure some of our readers will know has its uses.

John Gorman, was a Cumbrian's stalwart
