No one can help our defence, says Wilson

DANNY Wilson has ordered his defence to stand on its own two feet ahead of the visit of Rochdale to the County Ground today.

What an utterly strange thing to say.

This makes me even more sure - Danny Wilson is not our man. Goodbye in the summer, Danny!  Eek

If you mean the headline, it would indeed be if he'd said it, but he didn't. What he actually said was the defence have to stand on their own two feet, take responsibility for their own performances etc. Which then got mangled by the headline writer into something more interesting but utterly inaccurate.

It amazes me how people take headlines as quotes and base their views of people on them. Adver headlines are contradicted by the quotes in the article as often as they are supported by them.
