The more i think about it we can't win can we in some respects.

Most people say Morrison isn't ready yet and needs more game time,we all agree that to be the case and on the other hand we say we are now desperate for experience at the back.

So lets say we get the experienced head in that everyone is craving who out of you lot will be so understanding when sean morrison wants to leave to gain more first team football.

We moan that we want our young players to stay and on the other hand want more experienced players infront of them.

...it's like the people who are calling Greer a cunt for going (can't think of anyone specifically right now  Roll Eyes) If he had been offered and signed a three year deal with us and after, say a year, had got injured or generally wasn't good enough any more (which does happen) and wasn't getting in the side, those same people would be calling him a cunt for not tearing his contract up and fucking off.

Really no need for the eyes i will gladly call him a cunt. I'm pretty certain the reason i have called him a cunt is because he clearly wanted to leave. If he just says that then fine not all this they won't talk to me until october bollocks.

Offered a better deal on better money at this level at his age he stupid not to take it. Just fucking say that though.

Surely that is fair enough?

The 'eyes' were not directed at you DRS..if anything I was agreeing with your point about the fickle nature of football fans and merely adding another example to back it up. It's easy to misconstrue things on a forum like this and I can see how it happened in this instance.

I was specifically referring to Dave (and I know there are others who share his view) who, I am sure he will agree, made his feelings on Greer very well known but I also remember him being very vociforous in his criticism of Whalley hanging around and seeing his contract out a few years ago.

My concerns around Morrison stepping up to possibly replace Greer don't just lie around his age and experience, but he also seems quite injury prone for a young lad?  All we need is an injury or an injury and a suspension and we're absolutely buggered.  We

What the fuck?

When did I ever say that about Gareth Whalley? Our fault for offering him a stupidly long contract in the first place. He was fully entitled to profit from our (their) stupidity.

I was pretty sure you said he should have his contract cancelled and clear off out of town. Some people were definitely of that opinion. My apologies if you were not one of those.

Nonetheless, the Whalley situation is a good example of why you shouldn't just give players a long contract on the spur of the moment.

We have a policy andd are sticking to it, which is fine.

But you can't compare Greer to Whalley. Greer has proven himself over a season and a bit. Whalley never did that.
