Having teeth pulled out is fucking agony as well, I can vouch for that. Cunting braces.

Except they'll still have to do stuff on the nerve(s).   Anyway root canal is nowhere near as bad as actual toothache, everytime i've had it done i've had 4 roots in each tooth, and still here to tell the tale.  And actually whilst i think of it, i've had 2 teeth out with pliers and no anastethic, you bunch of poofs.

The worst experience of my life. Root canal work, upper jaw. I have never experienced pain like it. It must be worse than child birth.

I think it depends on whether the nerve is dead or not doesn't it? I know when i had mine the dentist bloke said it'll only hurt if the nerve is still alive, but invariably with an abscess it's the nerve being killed off or something.

So i got lucky. It was also the lower jaw, so don't know whether that made any difference, but it was completely pain free... Apart from the massive bill... And the knowledge that it only happened because my dentist cracked my tooth.

I had a tooth pulled out and I didn't feel anything due to the anaesthetic. As the tooth broke most of it had to be cut out too.

I only opted for this option as I wasn't confident the dentist would do the root canal treatment properly, especially as he was trying to get me to go specialist for a £1000 treatment. Yeah right.
