Not that interesting, but.. http://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/8092361.Albion_faced_ineligible_player/ Hartlepool have been charged by the Football Association for fielding an ineligible player in Monday's 2-0 home win against Albion.
They used centre half Gary Liddle, who should have started a two-match suspension after picking up his tenth booking of the season at Leyton Orient last Saturday.
Liddle has also been charged and Hartlepool now face the possibility of a points deduction or, at the very least, a heavy fine.
Albion's managing director Ken Brown, speaking before today's home game against Carlisle, said he was "surprised" by the news.
He added: "We will leave it to the football authorities to deal with but it is interesting to note that, if it had been in the FA Cup, Hartlepool would have been thrown out of the competition."
Could be good news for Gus at Brighton. Talking of Brighton, Brez had a shocker missing the punch leading to a goal that lost them a point yesterday.

Should be a points deduction. At least the 3 they picked up from that game.

That is the normal punshment, so they'll be only 1 point ouside the relegation zone. They should've gone down last season if it wasn't for the penalty that Andy Hall saw, yet no-one else in the ground did.

For league matches, don't they normally just change the result to a 3-0 win for the other team?

They would've got relegated last year if it wasn't for Andy Hall's mysterious last minute penalty award down at the CG.
