I was thinking the other day about our 6-4 win over birmingham, the 4-3 win v leicester, 5-3 v sunderland... You don't get results like that anymore.

Can anyone remember any decent matches this decade, in leagues one or two, including us or otherwise? Doesn't have to include us, can be anyone. Our matches against scunners and hartlepool were exciting, but there must have been some decent matches this decade, no? Any last-game excitement, like Jimmy Glass' goal for Carlisle? or any opening day ding-dongs?

Not the last decade, but i can remember game against man city down here in the late eighties, that was a right ding dong,I think that was the only time of not being gutted because we had lost a game,It was a pleasure to watch even tho we lost.

The 3-2 comeback against Sheff Wed with Fallon scoring in the last minute is probably about as good as it has got this decade.

Invincibile's last minute volley v Peterboro was great - but we still needed Rovers to do us a favour, so didn't have the definitive quality.

Pretty sparse though really.

That was a dull game, until the 79th minute! And I'm still convinced their 2nd goal was offside anyway. But in hindsight, the fact it stood made for a very memorable evening!

Indeed it was, but the last 11 minutes make up for it!  Winning 3-2 that way is always better tan 3 up by half time.  Sends you home dancing.

Christian Roberts turned the game for us by murdering Patrick Collins. Yet we still later signed Patrick Collins on loan.

I can't remember the player's from that day to be honest or even the goals,I just remember being stood in the town end watching a ding dong of a game.

Do anyone know if there is any footage of that game anywhere.
