From outta Space.

No not really, I didn't venture any further than SA. Arrived back in Lux today and just shaked off some man flu.

South Africa was wonderful. Cape Town was marvellous and the weather was pretty good apart from the Lions game against WP when it pissed down all day. We managed to get into a suite with the SA Post Office so had plenty of Windhoek, Carling Black Label and Castle, my glass was never empty, great guests!!

The garden and mountain routes around the cape are great, some amazing scenery. Did the highest bungee jump in the world at Bloukrans, 216 metres. Went to the most south and south westerly part of Africa.

As it was winter, the weather was pretty mild/warm, hovering around the twenty mark. It was also deadly quiet around the place with hardly any tourists.

Celebrated my 30th Birthday in SA and wore my Town shirts amongst the rugger bugger crowd.

I'm guessing that I didn't miss much when I was away?

Sound like a great trip!! That Bungee is on my things to do list, along with a lot of other stuff that SA has to offer.  I would like to do the Great white cage diving and cage free scuba diving with Tiger sharks. Also to be there to watch the Sardine run would be amazing.

I didnt really think of SA when i booked this years holiday. Next year would be a good time to go for the WC, but i think that would take up too much time for sight seeing and such.

Oh, and Kruger national park, i'd like to go there too.

Bob,

Holiday or Job?

Very much a holiday this time 4D!

Forgot to say, went to Robben Island as well and saw Mandela's cell, which reminds me, are there any Mandela book recommendations, I would like to find out more about the Apartheid times, hearing about District 6 in Cape Town on the tour bus left me fascinated to find out more.

Target did a good book where Mandela and the fifth doctor battle the sea devils. Think you can get it on audio book.
