Surely we wouldnt be doing that if Smith was likely to sign.

I dont think he will get a better offer. He had some right howlers last season. But then again, I do want him to stay.

In fairness we were name mentioned - I'm not convinced by it.

If, say, a League Two club offered Smith 2 years - I reckon he'd take it.
