Recommended book

I know there was a thread on footy books but I can't be bothered to look back and find it.  Anyway, everyone with an interest in football and world politics should read Baghdad FC by Simon Freeman.  It focuses on the Iraqi national football team during and after the reign of Saddam Hussein.  Brilliantly written and fascinating - I've read almost all of it in the last two days.

I am part way through 'the strain' by guillermo del toro and chuck hogan, its an actually-good vampirey style set up, without all the romantic-y goth shite that goes along with 95% of the genre. Oh, and the first of a trilogy. Woop!

Just reading 'Belching out the devil' that Mark Thomas book about the coca cola corporation and its not very niceness.  Very entertaining and enough to put you off coke for life.

Coincidentally, I heard del Toro being interviewed on the radio on my way into work this morning. He was bit odd but the book did sound good

I must get the Harold Larwood biography written by Duncan Hamilton.His book about Brian Clough was fantastic so will be interesting to see how he writes about cricket and presumable someone he didn't know that well.
