I'm talking to a mate, and then he collapses on the floor in the pub.
He doesn't drink much, doesn't smoke, he is very fit and still referees every week, aged only 54.
He died in front of me, .... he leaves a lovely wife and four children ....
Fuck, fuck, fuck - bollocks, dont expect a comment from anyone, just stitting in front of my computer and fucking crying and typed this, life is not fair ....

Apart from being a referee he sounds similiar to my dad who had a heart attack in the summer (very mild one mind you)
Crazy how it goes sometimes.

Dell Boy you have my sympathies. I was on a training course on Monday with a guy about the same age - he had a heart attack at work the next day!! Fortunately they got him to hospital in Bath and although seriously ill, is expected to pull through ok. A few years ago during the time of year when cricket and football overlap, I was watching my then local footy team (Beccles Town) play the first match of the season, when right next door a fast bowler in the local cricket team collapsed and died whilst bowling. Makes you question your own mortality!

My Dad's half-brother-in-law (or something like taht) died in a similar way, I think he was only 39 and he left behind a wife and a kid. It's such a tragic thing to happen, and my thoughts are with you and all those affected as you face the shock and grief of what's happened.

Sorry to hear of this Dell. I hope you are OK. I think I'd need counselling if it were a close mate of mine.
I guess anyone can have a heart attack, all we can do is try to minimise the risks.
