A cast is only there to set the bone in position. If you don't need/can't to that with plaster then won't bother.

An arm they will.

Oh and see a doctor. That's what NHS direct will probably tell you too.

As others have said, call NHS direct. I ignored their advice a couple of weeks ago, got more heart pains, and a quick trip to a&e ended up being 3 days in there on a drip.

Sure a trip to the docs would sort it though.

Just had to tell a story after this jolted a memory. Some young lad, Pro Golfer, called Fred "Willie" Lesteros, used to be a "Massage" therapist in Sweden and his "treatment" room was out the back of some sports place. He explained he was thrown way out back because the noise his patients made form his treatment scared off other clients.

One day a bloke i know was saying he's got tennis elbow and has a few problems playing Golf. Fred explains he knows a thing or 2, can probably solve the problem, but he'll likely scream with pain at the treatment.

Anyway, the bloke says go for it. Fred sits him down, pulls his arm about and gets it into some horrible positions using quite a bit of force. He then punches him fucking hard, in a quite a few places around his arm, all the time repositioning the arm. After a few minutes the bloke's eyes are watering like fuck, and he's making significant noise and clearly in agony. Regardless, 5 minutes later the bloke is doing press-ups without any pain, and playing golf pain free the same day. Crazy.

more like wankers cramp

Talking of which, I've never known whether to believe him but one of my mates....

Found some lumps in his "ball sack", thought it was testicular cancer so went to the doctor. The doctor examined him then told him he had to cut down on the masturbation - he'd had a vasectomy not long before and the doctor said it was just a build up of semen due to him wanking too much.

Explains a bump on the Ulnar, probably has nothing to do with the condition under discussion.

Whacking it is apparently not now accepted practice.

http://www.doctorslounge.com/orthopedics/forums/backup/topic-25278.html

Never knew that there was such a thing.

The inner and posterior surface of the cuneiform bone can be felt immediately below the head of the ulna. Some difficulty may be experienced in distinguishing one from the other; if, however, the hand is abducted and adducted the cuneiform bone can be felt to move while the ulna remains stationary. On the palmar surface of the wrist, immediately below the ulna, can be felt the distinct bony prominence formed by the pisiform bone. The flexor carpi ulnaris inserts into it.
