No link or anything like that but been told he is very close to signing a new contract and that the club have not had any bids whatsoever for Simon Cox.

Thought i would share it as it puts the Leeds rumour to bed and Reg's idea that we HAVE to sell in january.

Good news about Morrisson. I hope we manage to tie him down for a few years yet. It'd be so much better for his career if he proved himself he first before moving on to a bigger club. I think it's fairly obvious the boy will be a very good defender and will easily play at a higher level one day, I just want us to reap the initial benefits.

As for Cox, I think DV made the point a couple of weeks ago that if anyone from the Championship (or Premiership) was to come in for a League One striker, there are currently better more prolific strikers that they would go for - such as Beckford, Becchio, Lambert, Fryatt.

From those players performances against us,I would say only Beckford looked a better player and if Coxy had been playing in a decent side I think he'd have more goals than all of 'em Samdy

Plus the fact they play for BIGGER teams would make them a shed load more expensive than Cox.

Good news when it happens then on young Sean.

Saw in a Blackpoo forum I was having a sniff off that they were throwing cocks around as a potential signing but what was interesting is that they were all acknowledged that he would be well off budget, which is fairly encouraging.

I also saw that Fatty Howard shifted his girth to Sheff Utd yesterday for 500k, which given his recent form shows the sort of price clubs still have to pay for English talent in these dark old financial days.  If Mr Blobby is valued at 500k then Cox must be valued as a real asset.

I'm glad we are offering contracts earlier this year if what DRS says is true.

I've cetainly made the point on here a few times that we left it waay too late last season with Comminges.

I hope Morrison signs in and his agent doesnt get in ear telling him he can walk away for nothing in the summer.

Hope we've offered Macklin a contract to despite not having played a game in the first team.

Not to worry JFW - you could go on that programme and follow the advice of that horrible woman and become 'ten years younger', courtesy of thousands of pounds worth of cosmetic surgery.
