I've always thought, if you going that way, why not go to Alton Towers anyway?

Drayton Manor is a bit more family oriented, and much smaller than Alton Towers/Thorpe Park - but its got a few good rides. Its much smaller though so not sure whether its worth the money. But i live near Tamworth so have been to it quite a lot so am bored with it. Definately worth a look though

i went about 15years ago, when that 7up/pepsi/random soft drink ride where you stand up had just opened. it was quite good fun.
