Textticket??
Im wanting to buy some tickets for a gig at the Hammersmith Apollo and Im dead weary of using Ticktmaster and Seetickets etc after what happened with Girls aloud and I saw on the Hammersmith Apollo website you can use this thing:
ticket text is a new low cost ticketing agent that delivers tickets via text messages (SMS) and print-at-home e-tickets. Simply bring your SMS or print-at-home e-ticket to the venue, scan your ticket and you’re in!
We save you money by never charging postage & packaging fees, plus we always keep our booking fees low.
We’re constantly working on initiatives to reduce our costs. These cost savings will be passed on to you, the customer.
Just wondered if anyones used it before? Seetickets want a £4.50 booking fee per person!!!!! PLUS postage!

Errm, I haven't used them but it sounds like a good idea. Hope that helps.

No I havent but I do know that both of the major venue operators up to that level (academy music group and mama group) have been trying to roll out the use of a txt ticket service. I'd suggest that if text ticket comes to you via the venue website then go for that. If you are really concerned about it ring the venue box office to ask.

I have used the download/email print ticket. Just print your own ticket and they scan the barcode on the way in. Easy and no problems.

Book it on a CC and if all goes belly up then you'd get your money back anyway

I had a text ticket for the vodafone live music awards last year (which were crap!). Worked fine, they just scanned it on the way in and it was as easy as that.
Just don't delete the text before you go!!!
