I didn't hear any of this on the TV at the time but for god sake when are these utter morons going to grow up and realise there is no place for racism in the 21st century.

I hope the Croats get penalised and if it happens again lose the right to qualify for the world cup - its not the first time their fans have behaved this way either.

You have to remember that this is Eastern Europe and the chances are they havent caught up with the times. Christ theyre still driving Yugos!

As for the whole racism thing, it really does need to be dealt with. The Spanish FA was fined a petty amount for it in 2004. I can't imagine what the punishment would be should the apparantly 'bloodthirsty neanderthal hooligans' who watch England be accused of racism

Presumably the match pitctures weren't from Setanta though? I'd have thought they would have used pictures from Croatian TV?

Exactly right - if the shoe was on the other foot England would be heavily punished.

I can't help thinking that by criticising fans he's blaming the wrong people. He should be questioning his employers who are pricing actual football fans out of going.

Quite possibly. That's probably why they were showing replays every time the ball went out of play and sometimes after it had come back in again. The Europeans like their replays i think.
