mushtaq ahmed retired today, he was the best spin bowler i ever saw play (and ive seen warne and muli) the bloke is a fucking legend and was a huge factor in sussex's 3 in 5, he is having a reception at 3 tomorrow at hove  and i will definately be going.

Wouldn't put him in the same bracket as Warne (who stands alone) in the genious stakes, nor as simply unplayably freakish as Murali, but a fine performer... albeit one who got better when his international days were behind him. Good luck to him.

in the last 5 seasons for sussex he took 457 wickets.

he took 5 wickets 39 times

he took ten wickets 15 times

stick to watching sky sports kids and knowing the england team, mushy is a legend and a fucking genius

i heard that on Friday on tms. that would be a brilliant move for Peter Moores to bring into the backroom staff.
