how far back have you been searching for threads ben? how far back does the TEF go come to think of it?

The TEF goes back to Arthurian times. It was set up my Merlin so that the Arthur's noble knights could keep up with events in the realm. It started of as a great success, but drunken posting soon led to the knights falling out. Sir Tor Tor went a bit crazy one night, and under a paranoid madness he started to threaten violence against the other knights. This was unacceptable, and he soon left the TEF due to his own shame.

After these fateful events, the Knights of the TEF swore an oath. The oath held them to wind each other up as much as possible, causing them to never take each other seriously again. This sacred oath somewhat limited the serious debate available on the TEF, but in return made it a much happier place. A place where the knights were free to learn the limits of their friendship.

And so it still exists now, down through a few technological epochs, but still holding up the noble values of oh fuck I can't be arsed to type any more of this bollocks, I've ran out of wine.
