Help please!

I've got Nero 8 so i can burn DVD's etc.

When i try and load it i get the following message - "To run microsoft's visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package (X86) is required"

I'm ok so far, so i go to the microsoft site, select that to download and once it gets to the end i then get the next message -

"Error 1935. An error occured during the installation of assembly. "microsoft.vc80.ATL,type="win32"version="8.0.50727.762",publicitykeytoken="1fc8b3b8aie18e3b".processorArchitecture="x86". Refer to help and support etc.

Now, i've googled that  and come across various different forums etc where it says about removing things from your computer etc in order to add these programmes, but the ones they said i couldn't find in my programme list (net 1.0 etc) and i'm a bit dubious about doing that anyway.

So, has anyone got Nero 8? If so did you have any problems loading etc as above.

And has anyone got any bright ideas to help me, or any pointers? I can follow instructions, but they need to be laid out for me.

Thanks to anyone who can help  Cheesy

I'd personally find a torrent for nero 7 and download it, and use that until nero patch whatever problem it is.
