Were teenagers in the 80's generally ugly?

Yeah.

I just watched the first team to win it. Epsodes 4/5 of Series 2. They kept yelling at their dude to sidestep but not giving him a direction. Pure brilliance. They did win though, so fair play.

Sidestepping seems to be the key in knightmare. The teams which keep turning their dude round all the time inevitably do shit, as they take ages shuffling about whilst their life force drains away.

My favourite so far through my rewatchings is towards the end of series one when Folly (the jester dude) has an insult battle with the Level two guard. I think they were worried that they weren't going to have enough dungeon adventure to fill out the remaining episodes so padded it out with a bit of drama comedy. Pure brilliance.
