I set these cards up for work on the laptop's...they are nice and easy to use and mostly un-retristricted as well, although if your company get's a nice big bill as you have got over your limit then they may wonder !!!  Soapy Tit Wank

does my head all the cunts on the train with their laptops out. tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap I spend 9hrs and day listing to office noise (keyboards, phone, loads mouths) the last thing I need is to listen to it on the way home.

If it is that important then you should not be doing it on the the train. surely you should give it your full attention at home or in your office. for eg Monday a chap gets on boats up is laptop franticly taps out a few lines then starts to pack it away gets up to get off. He was on the train for 10 mins. what was the point surely he would have been better off having a 10mins chill and gather his thoughts then give it more attention when he got tot he office.

You can use pretty much any phone as a 3G/HSDPA modem but most people don't realise it can be done so simply.

The USB cards are good and very user friendly and remove the hassle of having to use your phone atthe same time.

You have to watch those bills though!  I was part of the launch for the first commercial HSDPA (3.5G) network in the world and when testing over a month we managed to rake up a £100,000+ bill on data charges.  Admittedly data charges were a little higher back then compared to what they are  now but without a data package I reckon a very heavy user left alone to their devices could still manage to crack over 20k to 40k charges in a month.

I’ve moved jobs now but the last toy I got to play with was a HSDPA/3G wireless router, which I think we’ll be seeing a lot more of in a few years time as the networks take on the ISP’s.
