Thought i'd share my Sampdoria pictures with you lot.Genoa is an ok place, bit rough but then it is a port city so to be expected. As for the ground, the Luigi Ferraris,it was easy to get to and reasonable easy to get tickets, just needed our passports.16 euros for a seat in the curva Lots of female fans milling about as well, was quite a surprise for me,but a welcome one Outisde before the game, http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p212/Larwood_Head/jamieinbed091.jpghttp://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p212/Larwood_Head/samp.jpgA Samp stairwell http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p212/Larwood_Head/jamieinbed024.jpgBefore kickoff. We were in the end facing the curva where the Samp ultras stand. http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p212/Larwood_Head/jamieinbed095.jpgThe seats aren't actually used to sit on http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p212/Larwood_Head/jamieinbed098.jpgSamp were playing Catania, the away suport was very good considering the distance they would have come from the south of Italy.Samp had just scored. http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p212/Larwood_Head/jamieinbed107.jpgHard to tell but its me!! http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p212/Larwood_Head/jamieinbed110.jpgThe final whistle. http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p212/Larwood_Head/jamieinbed108.jpgSamp won 3-1.Was a good ground, unlike the Stadio olimpico with its annoying running track and huge size, its a proper football ground.Paid a visit to the San siro and Venezia's ground, the Pierlugi penzo, which is like the Withdean, but worse Won't post any pictures though, tad dull

Not quite as impressive as the cardboard cut out display on the Stratton Bank though eh?
(Samp's flags are amazing, loved it in the Playoffs when we had those big flags up in front of the TE - what happened to them?)

Iv'e been to Barcelona's Noo Camp (Sp?).
Quite an impressive ground but there was no match being played at the time.
It was easy to tell just what an atmposphere the Noo Camp could generate as its stands where close too the pitch and very, very high.
Very envious of you, must have been some day out.

On a slight tangent...apparantly Roma have fitted extra secure seats in the away end for the ManUre game, but not in the home end. Ok, I think all United fans are losers BUT surely they deserve a bit of protection themselves after what happened last time?! Back to the point...ace pics Larwood! I would love to go see a game in Italy sometime

At German grounds a bloke comes round and supplies lager from a 'back back' type thing

Unfortunately the rules have changed in the Bundesliga recently, Hertha You can still drink in the stands in the 2. Liga though, but the smoking ban in Germany among other things means it's starting to fall foul of the sterilisation we have in England. When I used to watch KSC (2. Liga at the time) I always came away pissing wet in beer where everyone would throw their beers up in the air when they scored/throw their beers at the pitch when they conceded.
