Guadeloupe is an island group located in the eastern Caribbean. It is an overseas department of France. It's like it's part of France (a little bit like Gibraltar or the Falklands is to the UK) I would guess that, theoretically, anyone from there would be eligible to play for Guadelope or France. Minge would appear to have thrown his hat in with the country of his birth.
