TOWN's travelling army can consider themselves fortunate Paul Sturrock will not have a full-strength squad to pick from at Leeds tomorrow - with the Town boss now sorely tempted to throw caution to the wind.

Have to say I'm a little mystified by the comments he made about us defending and being very boring if we had the full squad available - nobody's budgeting for points up there really so why wouldn't he have just gone and scared the crap out of them with some vs. Gillingham type play?

The squad we took to Leeds in our 2-2 draw first time in the cup had some good players (Parkin), but not world beaters in it. And Leeds were a better albeit struggling team then (Smith, Bridges, etc).
But we bust our bollocks off, gave it our all and were unlucky with Bartmans sending off and Robinsons last minute equaliser.
This is the example of what can be achieved with the right mental approach on the day. Case in point Jon STEVENSON (5ft 0, 8st), shouldering José Vitor ROQUE JÚNIOR (6ft, 13st) off the ball.
I'd rather go for it in this manner and lose, than to go and try and park the bus in front of goal.
We will fight them on the beaches....oops got carried away there.

Stevenson had a great game up there - still maintain that if Mooney was fit for it though we'd have gone through, Lucas Radebe should have been sent off too, it was him of course that won them the corner that Robbo scored from.
Oh well, was a great game.
