Dennis & Alonso not on speaking tems. Since Hungary.

All bets are off now relative to Alonso buying his way out of his McLaren contract and returning to Renault. Who, still haven't named their driver line up for next year despite promising to do it around the Italian GP...

Clearly not fact though, just an opinion.

I wonder who will replace Alonso at Maclaren? Jenson? Is Heidfeld tied up contractually?

Doubt it would be either of those Batch as I think both are signed up for next year. That said, if the McLaren seat does become available, who knows?

Heidfeld might be a good shout as he was a McLaren development driver many years back...

Thankfully Heidfeld is signed up to BMW, but he is a very good driver and I believe he could challenge for the world title if he had the right car. Button, not a chance of signing too much of an over inflated ego

Thought of Heidfeld because he is german, and what with the Mercedes part ownership of MacLaren....Contracts don't mean everything, look at Button.

 Maybe they'll go for an established #1 driver (Hamilton)  and look for a #2 yes man, but it's not really how the team works.

Hence why I think you COULD be on the money if, and I stress IF, Alonso walks.

Its all rumour and speculation though isn't it.....as if we haven't had enough of that!
