i did 100mph on a dual carriageway in my rust bucket.

that's an achievement, not something to be ashamed of.

Don't break the speed limit and you won't get points.  Break the speed limit then don't complain when you are caught.

I don't give a shit whether the cops are being sneaky or not, I'm man enough to know the limits are not just put there for decoration,  If i decide to ignore it and get caught then it's my own fault.

People moaning about getting caught speeding really does wind me up.

fair enough if you're doing more than 5mph over the speed limit but there's not a single driver in this country who has never accidentally creeped over the speed limit. i do it every fucking day, especially as the roads around here are pretty quiet.

Didn't say I don't speed, just saying if I got done for it then it would be my fault, not the bloke or camera that caught me.

Plus the allowance is already built in for just creeping over the limit, we are talking doing more than 10% over the limit here.

There are certain roads where I do stick to the limit mind, such as Akers Way, probably our of respect more than anything.

Yep, went to school with 2 of them, not that we were friends of anything.  Think my parents also knew the guy responsible in some distant way.  Small place Swindon at times.
