No flippin Neighbours on for 2 weeks now.

Instead we will be subjected to 100's of repeated games on tv, due to the shite weather at Wimbledon.  BBC2 already showing the Federer vs Ndal French Open final.

Can't wait for neighbours to be on channel 5, as im sure they will show the programme all year round   Cheesy

Except they don't make enough episodes of Neighbours per year to fulfill one per day all year - there is a large new year break in Aus for the program.  They have 2 weeks off for Wimbledon and at Xmas to stop us getting ahead of ourselves.  Nonetheless that hasn't made me happy at all.

i heard there will be a year and a half break before Channel 5 shows neighbours similar to the home and away scenario -

Urban myth that. The difference in time had gone down to about 3-4 months when I managed to force myself to stop watching a year ago. I guess it's pretty much the same now. We've been catching up steadily over the last few years. As Matt says, they have a much bigger Christmas and new year break than we do and the 2 weeks of Wimbledon don't quite make up. So we've been having more episodes per year.
