£16m+ for Darren Bent is a joke, add that to the £75,000 a week he may be paid and West Ham are getting desperate

Not always. Look at Joey Barton at £5 million. Thats a steal (if it goes through!) Yeah, until he steals something/headbutts someone/puts a cigar out in someones eye/bares his arese at Sunderland fans.... He's a liability But he's still a quality player, who imo worth a gamble. Don't think big Sam will put up with it! |

Luca Toni has gone for less than that to Bayern Munich, 11 million euros!
Luca Toni: 30 years old and probably already peaked. Hasn' t played in the Prem and as history shows, it'd be extremly surpirsing if he could score more than 3 goals in a season. Nugent: 21 (I think), 6 years till starts to peak and scores for fun in the championship. I know who i'd rather have. |

I'm pretty sure at 21 Luca Toni hadn't won international caps etc. In 5 yrs time Nugent could be a world beater (IMHO he won't be) he's near enoguh incomparable to Toni. |
