I think Lennon is a decent player.
I also happen to think David Beckham is (still) a world class footballer.
There is a major difference in standard between 'decent premiership footballer' and 'world class footballer'
Yeah very good point. Scrap that.... REWIIIINNNND!!

it is confusing. I guess it was just to see how they cope with international football....as if its any better than the premiership anyway!
Still, he dropped Beckham.....if Aaron Lennon turns out to be a 10th as good as David Beckham I'd be surprised. you don't rate Lennon?? I dont, i like my wingers to be able to cross the ball

Didn't see the game, but saw the goals this morning.
Looked like beckham had a good game? Do you think he regrets joining Galaxy? I think it will dampen his chances of cementing a place in the squad.

McKenzies for me, not far from home and quite good for footy these days I'm as synical as most having witnessed the bollocks international football of the last few years but I am quite looking forward to tonight I have a strange feeling England may actually play well and win by a few, I am going 4-0 (Crouch, Owen 2 and Jo Cole).[/b] Thought at one point last night I was going to get the score and the scorers right.....so close yet so far. Was a good performance last night and with the 4 of the 5 remaining games being at Wembley you would have to fancy us to qualify.

Another boring game by England, they just go through the motions every game good job Beckham was playing other wise it would have only been 1-0. We dont create enough.

Looked like beckham had a good game? Do you think he regrets joining Galaxy? I think it will dampen his chances of cementing a place in the squad. Beckham played very well again and his ball for Crouch's goal was world class I cant think of another player in the world who would have played that with such precision. It says something of the mans character that he played on with an injury in the second half to make sure we got the job done and then only came off when it got to 3-0. Does he regret joining LA Galaxy? yes I would think so I believe he didn't expect England or Madrid to recall him. Yes he continued to work his bollocks of to prove people wrong but I am sure he didn't envisage things going 360 and becoming everyones flavour of the month again. I think he will play all the qualifiers, whether he goes to the Euro's is another matter. Personally really want to see him get to 100 caps he deserves that, despite his critics he has been our most effective player of the last few years.

Tad unafir Jim I thought it was much better than the drivel we have had to put up with for last few years. With Beckham we look a much better team and should now qualify.

Yes we looked better but didnt create alot how many shots did we have at goal pretty much only the 3 scored and crouch put 1 wide early on. With the players we got we should be running rings round teams like Estonia creating chances playing attractive football. Its not happening its boring to watch.

Yes but to be fair Croatia (top team in the group) only scraped a 1-0 win in Estonia so to come out with a 3-0 win and an encouraging performance makes things look slightly most positive for the international side at last
