Tonight we were poor but a draw in israel isn't as bad as everyone is making out. It's made to look worse by results such as drawing at home to macedonia and being humiliated in croatia. From the start it looked dodgy with the formation he was playing. Lennon on the left?!? why not put barry at left back too and carragher at right back. and for fucks sake get hargreaves out of the squad. He offers nothing at all to us.

It's all McLaren's fault as opposed to the players.

Look at his substitutions.
1. Lennon looked dangerous all night, so obviously you bring off for Downing! Lennon switching to the right, and Downing on for Gerrard/Lamp'ead.
2. Neville looked alright and over lapped reasonable well    Naturally off he comes.
3. The worst of all. Rooney looks awful, shoots when he should've passed etc. and is getting wound up by Ben Haim. Meanwhile Johnson's not having an appalling game, he's holding the ball up well etc. So Defoe for Johnson!

Having shown he's a 'strong coach' by dropping a big name Beckham, why can't he keep doing this - i.e. Sub Rooney, Drop Lampard etc.

Fuckin' Ginger Twat  :fu:  he's worse than Taylor

Well Croatia will probably win the group, so its between Russia, Isreal and England for second position.

Wouldn't surpise me at all if Russia came 2nd.

Portugal will probably win group A and it wouldn't surprise me at all if Serbia came second.

Why does McClaren insist on playing his golden boy Downing?

Lennon was the only player who looked dangerous going forward yesterday so of course McClaren brings him off!  :?

By all means i never watched the game, but how you can say that amazes me and shows how fickle fans can be. He was our player of the World Cup breaking up play, allowing Gerrard/Lampard to 'create'. His first game back and he offers nothing, genius.

Maclaren should play the best English player for the positions, i.e. the best Centre Halves, the best two strikers etc. In that way he'd make a decision about Gerrard/Lampard, rather than pussy out of dropping one of them. Thats my opinion, however i didnt see last nights game as i watched the cricket.

that theory about best players hinges on maclaren wanting a defensive midfielder in the team, not two 'creators' like Lampard/Gerrard

for crying out loud, israel have lost once at home in about 300 years.
was boring as shit, but england aren't that good... i wouldve taken that before the game.

The day the majority of the england fans realise this the better.  Israel away??? A point will do for you boys, tough fixture.  I hate the way the media wind the nation up to think that england have a divine right to win these away matches.  On five live yesterday they were going on about how on eof them plays in the turkish 3rd division.  Who gives a shit.

I just hope Scotland can bore the pants off everyone on Wednesday with a 0-0 in Italy.  RESULT!!  I'm not holding my breath though, it's gonna be tough.

We actually looked a good side with beckham in it. Mclaren used dropping himto show he ment businedd but instead we dont play good passing football anymore, we rely on sloppy passes for pacey players to pick them up a la Arron Lennon. We need passing football! Bring back beckham. Do you not get the feeling that Rooney is an England version of Christian Roberts.....

I know we don't have a divine right to beat anybody these days and i will also admit that we are not a World Class team.

You can't blame the media for putting positive stuff in the papers pre game, we had to beat Israel although i would have taken a draw before the game anyway.

I've never been a fan of hargreaves if i'm honest. I feel he was made to look "ok" in the world cup by inept performances from the better players. You can't fault him for effort but I just feel he doesn't offer us much. I'd give barton a go at that role as I feel he has better technical ability, can tackle and shows a lot more passion when playing.

There will be 2 changes for the game against Andorra and that will be Richards for Neville and Cole for Carragher. McClaren is just like Sven predictable. In honest opinon he should drop Lampard and play lennon on the right and Hargreaves and Stevie G in the centre and play Barry on the left.
