jesus christ alive.

if there's a fickle, media-led band-wagon to jump on, then you can bet your life that stfc-gazza will be among the first to sign up.

...but you can you honestly tell me Shaun Wright-Phillips is a better player than David Beckham?

Can you honestly say you dont think David Beckham is good enough for England...

...complete toss, yes its in the media...but Beckham has always been a class act and is better than anything in that midfield last week

The decision to appoint  McClaren was driven by the print media....McClaren's decision to ditch Beckham was similarly driven.

Scolari once he got a whiff of the English media intrusion was  :run:

Unfortunately the FA can't afford to sack the scummer....well not until Sven is off the payroll.

i assume aaron lennon is first choice right winger (??) so the fact that SWP did sod all against spain (and is obviously inferior anyway) is irrelevant.

as for steve mclaren... well there i was thinking things would be so different under sven's assistant.

Beckhams just been sent off. Never a red. Looks like that might be the final nail in his madrid coffin then

Becks may even be back yet! His current form is something Maclaren cannot ignore surely.

I'd love him back in the team.

I defy anyone to watch that video and argue that Shaun Wright-Phillips is a better player than Beckham.
