I think I'd prefer a 'squared'  off stadium not an oval one. I liked Boavista's stadium. Right on the pitch had also have safe standing.

Lets break the mould. I want opposing teamjs to feel the pressure when they visit us!!

that is like the stadium in Genoa. Which i like

I've been to the Luigi Ferraris. I liked it but it's actually quite run down when you see it 'in the flesh'.

I like loftus rd too, very clautrophobic-  a full house is loud and intimidating.  Square stands do see a bit more 'English' I'm not the biggest fans of the bowl, it's all a bit plastic for me.  Some jumbotron screens could fill the corners nicely, or executive boxes would be cool.

Maybe our new ground could be called

Croft-us Road.

The Geoffrey Guichard in St Ettiene was kinda nice, in a modest kinda way!

The atmosphere at The Geoffrey Guichard is Brilliant. I have seen some St Ettiene games on Tv and it is Fantastic.

I was there for 98 Scotland 0 Morocco 3 (the wankers), it was redeveloped for le coupe du monde and looked impressive, if my memory serves me right.

St Etienne are having a decent season this year, which is good.  Zaboub's old club you know.

Indeed they are and they have Lyon soon. That would be a great Local Derby.

I'd love to go and see Boca Juniors player River Plate - it would be mental.

Only non-British stadium I've been to to watch a football match (New England Revolution 1-0 Chicago Fire) was at the Gillette Stadium in Foxboro. Yes, okay it's an American Football stadium but it's still a great stadium to visit.

P.S. This wasn't the game I went to - I wish the weather was that decent and that many people showed!

You're not alone - there are times when I like football grounds more than the football so I'm probably more of a sad fucker.  Take Carlisle's ground - a new stand that is built yards out of kilter with the pitch..why not change the pitch!! Yet they have still got the three gabled end stand which I reckon is fantastic.  Wolves have a great ground but what happened to that brilliant stand that started with small V roofs and just got bigger.  Ther was a time when it was brilliant going to different grounds, pretty soon everyone will have the same concrete bowl - and don't even get me onto floodlights... you never had to work out where the football ground was when you drove to a new town,  you could see from miles away..now you haven't got a clue.  At least the County Ground is still loud and proud

The Sarfend one looks a bit special. I like their vision.

I hope Brighton's never goes ahead.

But what in the name of God is going on in the bottom left hand corner of the Southend one? What is it?

the roof links through to a shopping complex. nice to see something different & imaginative.
