Shot in the dark but does anyone know of a professional ‘troubleshooting’ template package/program?

Looking for something that flows close to basic Visio, where the end user can run through a series of relatively simple yes/no questions that determine flow, process and generate a text summary .  Something very similar in format to your bog standard troubleshooting you get on most technical Tinternet sites.

I’d usually fire something together myself but the number of products, process variants and routes I’ve got to play with are obscene and changing constantly day to day so I need a very good back-end program that I can leave a smoking chimp to update.

Ideally with a self diagnosis to ensure no paths are dead.

If anyone could suggest something remotely close to that then they can have a go on my Mum.

and my Dad if they really like.

If that software exists I'd certainly like to see it. And then destroy it! It would put me out of a job

Are you one of the smoking chimps jay?

All it is really is a fancy arse end database, it could even be knocked up in Access but I've got the budget to get somethin in and it'll ensure I can wash my hands of the thing when implemented.

Found a couple of likely candidates but nothing spot on yet.
