it's what marketing people call a loss-leader. it gets the shop a bit of publicity and foot-flow into the store - no doubt you'll get into the shop and the stuff they really want you to buy (where the margins are higher) are prominently displayed and promoted.
i'm sure you don't care about that though!!

you can also go into the other places listed on the top of the voucher for the discount.
however, all their wine and champers is on 3 for the price of 2 anway, so you unless you only buy one bottle you actually lose out because if you buy 3 bottles of bollinger you get 50% off anyway.
you'd have to be pretty stupid to get caught out buy that (he said having just openend hsi second bottle...)
