Activity is progressing well and to this end there is a mutual temporary segregation between the TRUST and M. Wilks.
If possible can you just clarify why the segragation was necessary? I know it says "it leaves MW completely free to continue dialogue with potential investors". Just don't understand why! Ta, Batch.

Maybe Bart's rumour of talking to Bill Power is true! And Mourinho's going to be named as Tuttle's replacement tomorrow morning...

If possible can you just clarify why the segragation was necessary? I know it says "it leaves MW completely free to continue dialogue with potential investors". Just don't understand why! Erm for one thing with apologies to Fred, I don't think segregation is quite the right word! The point made on Monday was that we had a sort of "Chinese Wall" between Mike seeking potential backers (and so necessarily having to negotiate under confidential terms, NDAs etc) and the Trust board. This frees Mike to be able to sign NDas which are often a precondition of discussion with third parties, assures any such third parties that they would not be negotiating with a "hidden mass" of people not at the table, while allowing us as a Trust board to provide Mike with a broad remit and direction under which any such discussions should take place. We're following a model that has been used successfully elsewhere under similar circumstances and trying to avoid a situation where on the one hand potential partners feel they can't talk to the Fans' Consortium under normal business rules and that they'd effectively be negotiating in public (which clearly no-one is going to accept), and on the other where the Trust board are so constrained and tied up by NDAs and the like that we effectively gag ourselves. So what we're trying to do is almost use Mike as a middle man, where we have a good understanding of what he's doing and input into it, but without tying everyone up in knots so that it becomes impossible to move forward. Erm, sorry if that's a bit convoluted - it's a complicated situation which I don't think I made a great job of explaining on Monday either.
