Should do. Our sky+ box has got the card from the old sky box in it, keeping same passwords etc..

The old sky box is in my bedroom and uses the card that came with the sky+ box.

If that makes any sense?? Cheesy

Good point love.

Sky had to put a new wire in from the dish, down the side of the house, round the back and into the tv.

The cost of getting this done might scupper any saving you make by getting it off ebay?!

Not sure if it will work actually - I tried taking my Sky card to my parents house to watch a Prem+ game (as my Dad is cheap and won't pay for it!) and all I got was an error saying "This is not the right card for this Sky box" or something along those lines.

Sky were very helpful though - their advice was to pay another £7 to watch the game! Idiots.

If you know anyone else who has Sky, try taking your card and putting it in their Sky box. If it works ok then one off eBay should be fine

The premium channels will not work unless the Sky card is matched to the Sky box. I think Sky CS should do this free of charge but I am not 100% positive. For a definitive answer try the forums at www.digitalspy.co.uk

You will of course have to pay the £10 Sky+ free or subscribe to 2 premium channels. I gess you knew that given yu have Sky+ already!
