i never paid £2k for it. £550 refurb from www.mcscom.co.uk
the machine is only 3 months old as on Dell website the tag says it was built in April. only thing changed is a new proccessor.


just checking out this site, looks good! what sort of condition did you get yours, was the hard drive blank?

harddrive was completely blank but the system itself was mint.

system spec was
Dell XPS 600
P4 3.6
250gig HD
2048 ram
Geforce 7300le 512meg graphics.
Nforce 4 sli motherboard

all for £550
can't fault them really

Dual Core is exactly what it says on the tin - 2 processors, only they're linked so they work together. It doesn't mean you get quite the performance of 2 processors though, only about 80% extra compared to a single core.

When I build my machine I'm also going to link up 2 graphics cards through SLI Cool

If you get someone to build your pc or do it yourself you can get that spec much cheaper than £2k, and if not go to MESH for good deals on brand new machines.
