Spent the weekend stewarding at ascot. Never exprienced the whole horse racing thing and can imagine the whole day out being a pretty good one(if you've got the money though, so this is the closest i'll get to it). saw the manly claire balding and that mcrerick(sp) bloke too. Anyone here go at all?

Yes I go it doesnt have to be  alot dearer than an afternoon in the pub if you dont want it to be.

I went to Newbury once. I made £4.87 on the day afer travel, entrance and beer on about £5 bet a race. So all in all a great day.
