with all this wise talk about roberts should be at a higher level etc etc should score 20+ goals etc poor old peacock doesnt get a mention from wise? IMO, peacock is far more likely to score 20+ than roberts. and if anything peacock should be playing at a higher level

He probably thinks that Roberts is more in need of a lift than Peacock so has given him lots of backing in public. I expect he is giving Peacock plenty of encouragement behind the scenes though.  From the interview he gave last week it sounds like Peacock is absolutely buzzing. I'm hopeful of big things from those two this season Cool

yea me2, i think that roberts and peacock will make an awesome partnership next season. peacock deserves it,  in all the games ive seen him play so far hes the one working incredibly hard. if he can stay fit, and roberts can maintain his focus and keep off the bottle we have two excellent strikers for this level.

caton and juz are also two promising youngsters upfront, but i feel we need we one more experienced striker.

or using one of the loans up for a striker might be a good idea as other areas of the pitch are more of a priority for a permanent

Dont forget that Peacock hardly set the goal scoring charts alight last season.......
Yea yea I know he was injured, and he ran around lots and worked hard but lets face it he rarely looked like he was going to score and actually had a worse goals to games ratio than big Trevor Benjamin
It might just be the case that a rejuvinated and fit Christian Roberts is actually a better prospect than Lee Peacock.
Having said that though I hope they both come good and take us into a position where they can be playing in a higher lge next season.

Again, injured plus he scored 5 less goals than Jamie Cureton who played in many more games

Did anyone in our team look likely to score ever?

This point is just stupid, if anyone in their right minds would want a fat lazy immobile piece of shit up front rather than a hard working honest pro then they want shooting. Lee Peacock adds much more to the team than Trevor fucking Benjamin the worst pro footballer ever in the history of the universe....

History, although in the past [duh!] begs to differ. Peacock has a very good scoring record which is better than that of Christian Roberts

Soapy Tit Wank

I wish I was a betting man, if I was I'd have put a tenner on the fact you would be the first to reply.

As I have said before I hope Peacock does come good, I just find it dificult to get carried away in all the hype and excitement around him. Dont forget that I have also shown the colour of my money in supporting him via the L&P kit sponsorship.

I personally think Roberts is a more dangerous player in terms of scoring goals. He has the pace and the finish of a good player and could be LETHAL at this level if he gets fit again.
Not that Peacock won't be valuable, as I would definitely have him in my team. I just see Roberts as the main goalscorer of the two.

DOn't forget that Roberts has spent a lot of time playing on the wing which screws up the stats a bit!
