Limewire

Is anyone else finding it impossible to connect to Limewire recently?  My Dad and I are both having the same problem, leading me to suspect maybe they've been rumbled.  Anyone suggest any good alternatives?  I need to download some more quality choons.

Have you upgraded your version?

Haven't used it recently but last time I did it was pretty dire and full of spam files.

Soulseek is pretty good for rare stuff.

Used to use emule for hard to find stuff, haven't for a while though. Think my housemate said it was still pretty good.

morpheus is a pretty good alternative, limewire stopped working for me aswell

i think u people should get with the times! Bittorrent is the way to go! been using it years now.

Download a program called Utorrent, its small

Go to a website, www.mininova.org is a good one, search for files there, click download.

utorrent opens up, select where u want to save them to, then ur done

Bittorrent goes without saying, I got the impression that it was for hard to find stuff.

The problem with bittorrent is that for older torrents for rare stuff then you can have problems with nobody seeding. Hence why it's good to have a backup in one of the more old skool p2p programs like limewire or emule - stuffs shared automatically unless you move it, unlike torrents where it stops as soon as you stop the torrent.

fair enough as a back up, i personally dont use ne of them ne more. I got a good music site, which has more or less everything! so im happy
