true dat. Cameron wrote Howard's manifesto for the last election, yet has reversed his stance on many of the issues. recently he's been promoting his environmental concerns, yet he was the one who axe the climate change levy.

badmouthing is lame though, the Tories tried it last time out and it got pathetic, i really do hope labour aren't going to resort to this again otherwise our elections will soon descend to the farce that is the US of A where elections involve stadium tours with soundtracks and fireworks.

perhaps its a sign of the times though, i do hope that the majority of voters will appreciate positive campaigning rather than being swayed by such publicity stunts.

have labour and the connies ever been closer? there's so little difference between them nowadays.

of course the way politics is going with low turn-outs at elections and general disinterest, the parties who get into power will be the ones who persuade the public to vote. It's got to the point where it's no longer about giving the public your party's policies. It's about telling them they should vote for you to stop the other scandalous immoral party; think the term is scare-mongering or something.

The political scene in this county is now very much like the good old land of the free. Two parties with similar policies with huge PR and marketing budgets looking to attract the middle ground vote by looking nice and having big parties

Democracy is all well and good if you have a choice (which we just about still do in this country) but in America you may as well have one party because both have very similar policies.
